WT2 tank hood temperature comparison test: there is no amount of 5 ~ 10 ℃ C temperature difference, to improve the stability of water temperature

In order to verify the actual insulation efficiency of the WT2 tank heat shield, on 21-22 March 2025, the laboratory of Guangzhou Landi Company carried out a comparative test of tank water temperature with and without the heat shield. The test was conducted under natural environmental conditions, aiming to quantitatively assess the impact of aluminium-plated composite bubble material on the stability of water tank water temperature, and provide data support for product optimisation and application scenarios.

The test was conducted using a 200L PE plastic white water tank, with the initial water temperature set at 31°C, the outdoor temperature fluctuating from 20°C to 31°C, and the test duration of 32 hours. The sample size for the insulation

was a 580mm diameter x 870mm high WT2 tank heat shield. During the test, the water temperature inside the tank with/without heat shield was monitored simultaneously, and the results showed that: the average water temperature of the tank with heat shield was 24.8°C, which was 5.49°C lower than that of the tank without heat shield at 29.7°C, with the maximum temperature difference of 10°C and the minimum temperature difference of about 3°C. The temperature of the sample after testing was not abnormal, and there was no abnormality in the appearance of the sample. In addition, the appearance of the samples after the test was not abnormal, and there was no breakage or performance degradation

.

In terms of performance, the aluminised composite structure of the WT2 water tank significantly slowed down the rate of water temperature drop by reflecting radiant heat with an ultra-low thermal conductivity of 0.028Wm.k. The water tank was also able to reflect the radiant heat of the water tank, which is a very low thermal conductivity. In 32 hours of exposure to the natural environment at

, the average temperature difference was 5.49℃, which verifies the practicality of the product in the field of water temperature maintenance. This kind of thermal insulation performance is important for solar water heaters, industrial cooling systems and cold chain logistics scenarios, which can effectively reduce energy consumption and extend the effective use of water temperature. At the same time, the lightweight and Velcro opening design ensures performance while taking into account material costs and ease of installation.
