The mold growth test was conducted in strict accordance with the ISO 846-2019 international standard. Five common mold strains found in nature—Aspergillus niger, Penicillium funiculosum, Paecilomyces variotii, Trichoderma viride, and Chaetomium globosum—were selected for the experiment. A rigorous testing environment was established, featuring a constant temperature of 29°C and high humidity (95% RH), with a continuous 28-day incubation period. This setup closely replicated the humid, stifling conditions often experienced by aquaculture ponds, water storage equipment, and sealed liquid containers, thereby maximizing the simulation of material performance in real-world applications. The submitted sample—a 0.62mm thick B3990 Green Pattern PVC beaded pool liner—underwent 28 days of microbial exposure. Microscopic examination revealed no mycelia or mold spots on the surface and no detectable mold growth; consequently, it was rated as Grade 0 (the highest level of mold resistance) under the testing standard. The material demonstrated stable resistance to mold erosion.
